Sunday School Rally Day
2003
September 7, 2003
The annual kick-off to our Sunday
School year of 2003 honored First Baptist's 150th birthday
celebration. Our Rally Day celebration focused on the history
of our church and Sunday School. We saw and heard video clips of
members as they explained the importance of Sunday School in their
lives.
We
met
the new teachers, heard about the new classes, and congratulated those moving on
to other classes. Members of Men's Fellowship will prepared
lunch. It was a great time as we gathered on the back lawn for some ole-time games and recreation.
Booths were set up across the back lawn. It was a
great time for all - we got to try to "ring the flamingos",
practiced our hole-in-ones, fished at the ole fishing hole, had our faces
painted and tossed bean bags. We had some lucky winners at the Cake Walk.
Our "COOL"
group sold cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones. It was great to
include this event as one
of our many memories of this church's 150th birthday.
