Pentecost celebrates the birth of The Church. The color is red, symbolizing the "tongues of fire" that rested on all the disciples gathered in the upper room after the Ascension.  It was the gift of the Holy Spirit, represented in the tongues of fire that marks the birth of the church.

We ask that everyone wears something red on this special day to help set our sanctuary ablaze with the color that represents both the church and the Holy Spirit!
