Dedication of Narthex and New Stained Glass Windows
Many "oohs" and "ahs" were evident
as the newly restored stained glass windows were unveiled and dedicated on
October 1, 2000. The windows were originally a part of The First
Baptist Church building on Collingwood Boulevard where they were also in
the narthex of the church. They were created by the Associated Art
Glass Company of Columbus, Ohio and were originally dedicated in
1953. Following the move of the church to its' Springfield location,
the windows were placed in storage and remained there for twenty
years. The expansion and remodeling of the narthex restores the
windows to the same area of the church building they occupied when
installed on Collingwood Boulevard. To find out more about the
