Communion Table Cloth and Pulpit Bible

Communion Table Cloth
On September 12, 2004, we were pleased to dedicate a new tablecloth for the communion table.  The tablecloth is the creation of Patti Logan, a member of our congregation.  She developed the design and through her artistry and craftsmanship completed all of the embroidery, cutting and sewing.  The cloth is the culmination of over 60 hours of work.  We truly thank Patti Logan for the wonderful gift of her talent and artistry.  We dedicate this new cloth to the glory of God in faithful remembrance of the Lord's Supper.

Pulpit Bible
On this same day, the church received the gift of a new Pulpit Bible from the Hilary Club.  The Bible it replaces had become too fragile for use.  The new Bible is also the same translation as that of our Pew Bibles, the New Revised Standard Version.  The Bible always has a prominent place within our worship setting, reminding us of the centrality of Scripture to our lives.  We thank the Hilary Club for this donation.

Our Prayer of Dedication on September 12, 2004:
Blessed Lord, you have called all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning.  Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.  Amen.
