Mother's Day and Pentecost
Sunday
This Sunday, May 11 features two commemorations in one day.
We will celebrate our Mom's with a special recognition during
the service. It is also Pentecost as we remember the
coming of the Holy Spirit in the book of Acts. It is a day
when we traditionally wear red - so find your best red dress or
red tie and plan on worshipping with us this Sunday!
One Great Hour of Sharing
As
most of you are aware, the country of Myanmar is facing a crisis
of overwhelming proportions after being struck by Cyclone Nargis
on Saturday, May 3. The office for "One Great Hour of
Sharing" is already working to provide humanitarian aid in the
form of grants to help the citizens of the country formerly
known as Burma. We normally receive the "One Great Hour of
Sharing" offering in June but you may begin giving now to help
in this relief effort. Make sure to designate your
offering with "OGHS." Our June Fellowship Offering will
also be designated for the One Great Hour of Sharing. For
more information and news on these efforts, go to
http://www.abc-oghs.org/.

station. Please contact Pastor Scott if you would like to
participate!
