Your Living Nativity
Sunday, December 16, 2007
Volunteers Need to Arrive at 5 PM and Go to the Coat Room for
Costume Distribution
Living Nativity Runs from 6 to 8:15 PM

We need your help!  Please fill out the form below if you can help in this year's live presentation of "Your Living Nativity."

Yes, I will help with our Living Nativity!
Please sign me up in the areas I've selected below (check all that apply):

Scene Characters What we need are lots and lots of people to fill all of the scenes.  We need enough people to have two sets for each scene so we may rotate.  To be a character, all you have to do is wear a costume and stand still!
Scene Coordinator As our Living Nativity has become larger over the years, it has become necessary to add a scene coordinator to direct the rotation of scene characters and to procure clothing after church on Living Nativity Day.
Wardrobe and Makeup Your job will be to help dress the characters and apply makeup.
Props Props include everything from the Wise Men's gifts to straw for the manger scene.  We need people to gather and coordinate the use of all props and the painting and refurbishing of sets.
Sets and Lighting We need people to help construct the manger scene two Saturday's proceeding the Living Nativity and to set up and light the remaining scenes the Saturday prior to Living Nativity Day.
Costume Distribution Help in the Coat Room to distribute costumes as Scene Characters arrive.

Refreshments

Will Donate Refreshments

Will Work in Kitchen

We don't want our volunteers to get cold!  When our crews are rotating in and out of scenes, we want to be able to provide them with hot chocolate and donuts.
Traffic Control We need a few people with orange vests and flashlights to smoothly direct traffic in and out of the church parking lot.
Monetary Donation As you look over this list, you are probably aware that their are some expenses incurred by an event of this magnitude.  If you are willing to make a donation, please put it in an envelope and mark it "Living Nativity" and do the same on the memo portion of the check.  You may send it to FBC (address on the upper left of this page) or drop it in the offering plate this Sunday.
Prayer This is a huge project.  It involves a lot of people and a lot of work but it is certainly worth every minute of it!  It is one positive way of keeping the true meaning of Christmas before the people.  We hope we might reach hundreds and maybe thousands on that night.  Will you make the Living Nativity a matter of your prayers?

Thank you for your willingness to participate.
