Living Nativity 2000

December 17, 2000 - The temperature held at 5° the entire evening with wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.  The wind chill hovered around -38° with blowing a drifting snow.  It was so cold, we moved two scenes inside, behind the glass so as to keep our performers warm!  This still meant that our traffic coordinators had to stay outside in the freezing temperatures.  Even with the bad driving conditions and frigid weather, we had fifty-one cars drive through to see our presentation.  Here are pictures of some of our devoted performers as they forsook an evening with family (and warmth) to participate in our Living Nativity 2000:

The Annunciation

No Room at the Inn

Shepherds Watching

Journey of the Wise Ones

The Nativity

Wayne Plays, The Workers Try to Stay Warm

We wish to express our gratitude to Mr. & Mrs. Kasper McCloskey for the donation of the food trays for the cast.  We also express our gratitude to the Music, Arts & Drama Board of First Baptist, and particularly to Betty Snyder for their sponsorship and participation.
