Chicken Barbeque September 19
The 28th Annual First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo Chicken Barbeque is almost here! We are looking forward to the biggest and the best Chicken BBQ ever!! It will take many people working together to make this happen. Volunteers are the heart of a project such as the Chicken BBQ and we hope you will be willing to help. September 19 is the big day as we kick things off at 11:30 AM with chicken sales until 6 PM (or until we run out - whichever comes first!). Donation: $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children aged 6 to 12 years old with children 5 & under FREE. $4.00 for ½ chicken only (no sides). You may dine in with air conditioned comfort in our two dining rooms or use our express drive up and carry out. Want to help out in this big effort? Contact Ralph Pearsall or Terry Stockner.
Election Day Bake Sale 2008 Report
For our many members who baked goodies for the Election Day Bake Sale, we can never thank you enough! We received so many baked goods that my wish to have enough to last from dawn to dusk was answered. What a wonderful day!
Due to the concerns about a huge turnout, we believe that early voting may have hurt our chances to sell a little more because there were not the long lines as were expected. However, so many people – both voters and poll workers – said that they have missed a bake sale here and so very much appreciated our presence with the hope that we do it again! To those who helped staff the tables – thank you for the time you gave for this project. Because of all of you we now have added $265 to the 2009 TAABA Back2School Bash fund. God Bless you all!

Chicken Barbecue 2008 Report
Maybe you donated pies. Maybe you helped prepare the potato salad. Maybe you helped out in a dining room or sold tickets. Maybe you took out the garbage. No matter what you did or for how long you did it . . . you were very much appreciated! We truly could not have done it without YOU and dedicated service you provided.
The twenty-sixth annual chicken barbecue of the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo on September 21, 2008 was another huge success for our history books. A profit of $3,000 was generated that will continue the mission of First Baptist and it was thanks to all of you!
A huge THANK YOU to EVERYONE for your support and dedication to this annual event and we look forward to next year!
