This is Ridiculous!

From one of the hottest nights of the summer to one of the coldest!  Yes, it is true - Night Light on July 1, 2009 was a full thirty degrees colder than our previous Wednesday night on June 24.  We went from over 94 degrees to less than 64 degrees in a week - from shorts to blankets (as displayed by Betsy Bellavia).  We had a great night with a message from Pastor Scott titled "Samson and Michael Jackson" while Pastor Dan led our children in a devotion about Samuel.  Our evening wouldn't be complete without great music from our Praise Band, street hockey for the youth and children and a cookout featuring "Grillmeister" Tom Logan who served up chicken and hot dogs.  Night Light continues outside all summer long . . . don't miss out on the fun each Wednesday as we kick things off at 6:15 with a cookout potluck (bring a side dish to share) followed by our outdoor contemporary praise and worship service at 7 PM.

Night Light Begins Summer on a Hot and Muggy Night

The temperature broke above 94 degrees as we kicked off the first outdoor Night Light service of the 2009 summer on June 24.  The heat index was estimated to be 105 degrees but that didn't deter us!  The grills were fired up for a dinner of pork chops along with great side dishes contributed for the potluck.  Following the meal, our children took to the stage to begin the Night Light service.  Our Praise Band led us in several rousing choruses.  During one song, the rays of the sun formed a halo around a cloud above us (click READ MORE below to view the entire article).  Pastor Dan then brought the message.  The children had a lesson on "Heaven and Hell" and then enjoyed a game of hockey (on pavement that could almost melt your shoes!).  Night Light will continue outside throughout the summer (weather permitting).
