Thanks for your Prayers!
On Saturday, July 1 at 6:00 AM, eight of our youth and
two adult sponsors left to attend the Gathering of the American
Baptist Youth in Estes Park, Colorado. This national gathering is
held once every three to four years, so for these young people it was a
once-in-a-lifetime experience. We want to thank the congregation for
their overwhelming support of this trip. The participants are
listed below, though our entire congregation was truly involved through
prayer support!

Kudos to Pastor Bob
Congratulations to Pastor Bob for his survival skills and
the amazing abilities he demonstrated on our trip to Colorado. He
lasted a week and a half with a wacky, wild, and weary bunch of
people. He bent over backwards to make sure that we had a great
time. He catered to our every whim. He survived on minimal
sleep. He braved th white water rapids. He kept the entire
group from driving off the edge of a mountain (or perhaps we drove him to
the edge?). He endured tears and tirades, trials and
tribulations. He juggled finances, schedules and the needs of a
dozen people all at once. He faced crises of significant proportion
- lost belongings, missing tickets, housing problems, hot water shortages
and car rental catastrophes. He fearlessly led our group through the
entire experience and still returned with faith in God and a smile on his
face. THANK YOU PASTOR BOB!

Letter to Our Church Members
On behalf of the Spencer family, we thank the church
members who have contributed to the Youth Fund and to those who bought
"stock" for the youth to attend the Colorado trip. Sean,
Shannon and Jenny (our "adopted" daughter) returned home having
experienced the mountains, the Columbine Memorial, worship with 1800 other
Baptist teens, exposure to Christian rock music and concerts, Bible study,
white water rafting, etc., etc., etc. They have grown from their
ID2K camp conference. Thank you for making it possible for them to
attend.
Also, a special thank to Pastor Bob and Cindy White for
their patience and leadership.
Again, thank you to our church for providing our
children the opportunities to make memories that will last a lifetime and
spiritual growth that will last through eternity.

to Colorado possible. It was such a great experience to learn more about
God and have tons of fun doing it. We believe the trip to Colorado deeply
impacted out lives and deepened our relationship with God. Thank you Bob

you to everyone who donated money. Without your generosity and prayers,
