No Such Thing as Problems - Only Solutions!
(and the solution to seeing ALL of the pictures is to wait until they ALL load, which may take a little while!)

Special Thanks to Joe Coley for the "Live from the Show" Shots!  We really appreciate it!

Official Cast Picture - June 9, 2001

The audience waits in breathless anticipation for the show to begin.

Gigi (Our Exalted Director) let's our Pastor
and his wife know that "this may be a little
different from the productions we've done here before!"

And we prove it right away as
Alphonso enters in his favorite jacket.

The Maid of Honor tells us that "little Ronnie" won't come
out of the bathroom.  Alphonso offers a shiny new quarter to entice him.
"But what's that going to teach him?" the Maid of Honor asks.
  "The American Way!" Alphonso answers.

"Little Ronnie" finally Appears

"We're going to have to serve
the food ourselves!"

The Groom's mother is NOT HAPPY
about having to serve the salads.

Uh-oh.  Seems there's something fishy
between the Maid of Honor and the groom.

Time to begin the wedding - but we
don't have a Best Man and Flower Girl!

"No problems, only solutions!"
Here's our Best Man!

Oops!  Didn't They Hear Alphonso?
"Best Man on the left, flower girl on the right!"

Even Alphonso can't resist a chuckle!
(Note the Cleric's Collar)

"Would someone please take the bag off his head?"

Reverend Alphonso begins the ceremony.

Lisa reads her very long vows!

David wonders, "when will this be over?"

"Your best man forgot the rings?"

"My son's friends are not boneheads, you bonehead!"

"Speak now or forever keep your
big fat mouth SHUT!"

The (temporarily) happy couple!

Pictures!

Garter Toss!

And the Lights Go Out!

"She caught the garter - with her neck!"

"I think she's dead!"

"How can I forget about this?" cries the bride, "my wedding is ruined!"
"Let's open the presents!" says Alphonso.
"Okay!" says the bride with a smile!

"A toaster!  Another toaster.  And from Ronnie - a loaf of bread."

"I thought you'd like to
make some toast."

Aunt Madge arrives (but she doesn't
have anything to wear)!

No wedding is complete
without the Chicken Dance!

"Chick fight!  Chick fight!"

"You'd think your time would be better
spent looking for your sister's murderer!"

"Come here, Sweet Cheeks!"

The all-new wedding party!

Dead, but not gone!

"MARRIAGE CAN BE MURDER"
JUNE 6, 8 & 9, 2001

A mystery comedy that kept us laughing all evening!

On June 6, 8 and 9, 2001, the FBC Drama department presented the five-act comedy "Marriage Can be Murder."  It featured our FBC Players:  Meghan Bryson, Bob Quigley, Les Sharrit, Becky Spencer, Shannon Spencer, Linda Stockner, Mark Suffron and Scott Weaver.  It was another great success as our fellowship hall was filled each evening!  Thank you to all who made this another wonderful program.

FBC Players - 2001 Edition

This was the story of the wedding of Michael and Lisa Lombardy.  As it began, we met Alphonso (Scott Weaver), the high-strung "wedding coordinator."  He was attempting to prepare for the wedding and reception.  We met the groom, Michael (Mark Suffron); Lisa, his bride-to-be (Shannon); the Maid of Honor (Meghan Bryson); Michael's troublesome "little" cousin, Ronnie (Bob Quigley); the bride's father (Les Sharrit) and the groom's mother Marge (Becky Spencer).  As things progressed, one problem after another arose - only to be answered by Alphonso with "there are no such things as problems, only solutions."

Finally, after much acrimony among the characters, the ceremony was held.  After the ceremony, the reception began but got off to a very bad start when the mother of the groom was found dead during the garter toss.  According to Alphonso, this was just a "minor setback" and advised everyone to continue on with the party.

Continue they did - that was until the opening of the presents when the deceased sister, Aunt Madge (Linda Stockner) arrived to find that her sister had been murdered.  She was on a mission to discover the killer - which she did!   In a dramatic closing scene, the killer was revealed and the characters' lives changed forever - to much comic effect.  A fascinating conclusion to a highly enjoyable play!
