Chicken Barbeque 2000 Report
It was a grand and glorious day for everyone. At one point we were
so busy that both dining rooms were full and people were waiting in The
Bennett Room! The outdoor tent had a steady flow of customers from
beginning to end. We reached a total of 1,000 dinners prepared for
the day.
Our thanks to everyone who made this annual community
event possible. One hundred and ten volunteers from the church made
it all happen. Over the years, the numbers of dinners we serve has
almost quadrupled in number.
From the beginning, the this community endeavor has been
ably led by Dave and Lois Smith. The day after this year's barbeque,
they were already planning for the 2001 event by compiling a mailing list
from this year's customers.
It was a great day and we applaud the cooperation and
participation of everyone. Like Dave and Lois, we already find
ourselves looking forward to next year.

about the areas in which you might be willing to volunteer! This is
a church-wide event and our biggest community outreach. We need
everyone pulling together to make this happen. Areas in which we
will need help include ticket sales, kitchen help, host, hostesses,
delivery, clean-up, carryout and a whole lot more! Help us make it the best ever!
